Coldshift Racing
Two penguins from Antarctica on a road trip down South Africa's Garden Route.
Slate drives, Pico reads the notes. Real roads, rallies on the clock, and a coast full of locals: a taxi-driving seahorse, a dassie with a car lot, a loerie with a whistle.

The race screen is your phone held upright: the road from above, the notes on cards, the pedal under your thumb. Every picture here is the game as it plays.

Road trips, rallies and the odd seahorse (and dassie, and loerie…)

Real roads
The roads are real ones, most of them drawn from a drive with GPS and a dashcam: Knysna's Main Road, the hill up Old Cape Road, the N2 along the lagoon, gravel passes over the mountains.

Rallies with Pico
Stages back to back on the clock, with Pico reading the notes from the passenger seat: "Left 4, crest, don't cut." The light follows the day, and the weather is the forecast's.

Locals and legends
Race the locals who know every bend, then each area's boss: the Knysna Seahorse in his taxi, for one. Drive about on your own and you'll find a few stories along the way.

Race your friends
Phones on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot race each other, no account and no internet needed. Or ride along as the navigator on a second phone, calling the hazards for the driver.

Your kind of trip
Pick a Scenic route, a Road trip or a Rally: the same roads, for a relaxed drive or a proper fight for the stage times.

Met along the road

Slate and Pico The crew
Two plush penguins from Antarctica, a long way from the ice. Slate drives from a stack of cushions; Pico reads the notes and holds the map.

The Knysna Seahorse The rival
Drives the Waterfront taxi and knows every bend in town. Catch him if you can.

Tannie Dassie The car lot
Spares, parts and new looks, and a fair price for the car you're done with. The kettle's always on.

Coach Loerie The driving school
Braking, drifting and stopping in the box: not short, not past. He's seen worse. Not much worse.
5Right 5, longThe garage
Two hatches and a lot of paint
The penguins' cars, drawn from the real ones. Paint them in the garage, buy looks at Tannie Dassie's car lot, and fit the parts you win along the way.

Redberry
The first car: a small five-door hatch, red nose, grey body, quicker than it looks.

Blueberry Cheesecake
Rally-bred, with wide arches, a bonnet scoop and a roof wing. Earn it.

Six stations
Surf guitar along the lagoon, concertina country over the passes, the penguins' own icy chiptune. Tune in for a taste; bring your own stations as a pack. Or add ours.

@redroman_angie
Angie is a VisTuber: a red roman fish with a headset and a hoodie, streaming from her loft in Joburg. She's the voice of the trip, reading the penguins' story as it happens, bringing the map's news and calling every race's countdown.
Watch a link race on a third screen and she's in the commentary booth with Coach Loerie, live on VisTok: every lead change, crash, drift and photo finish, called as it happens.
